Terms of use
Rules for retailers, investors and administrators using Solarcrowdin.
Draft of 24 October 2026
The service
Solarcrowdin is software for assessing, selling and following solar products on credit. Solarcrowdin is not a lender, does not hold customers' money and does not give investment advice. Each plan is made by the lender of record named on it.
The service is in a pilot phase. It may change and may sometimes be unavailable.
Your account
Retailers sign in with their phone number and a one-time code; investors and administrators are invited and sign in with their email address and a code. Keep your phone and email secure and do not share codes.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts customers at risk.
Retailers
Give true information about your business and your customers. Read the consent statement to each customer and record only what they agree to.
Show and explain the full cost summary before the customer accepts a plan; the software will not accept a plan otherwise.
Record payments truthfully and promptly. Customers receive an SMS receipt for every payment you record.
Treat customers fairly when they are late. Do not switch off or restrict a product unless the lender of record and the law allow it; critical-use products always need a manual review.
Investors
Portfolio figures are calculated from live data and explained on the dashboard. They describe the past and are not a promise of future returns. Small samples are flagged and can change quickly.
Amounts are in the currency of each loan and are never converted; local-currency loans carry exchange-rate risk.
Do not try to identify any borrower.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, try to reach data you are not allowed to see, or interfere with its security.
